GOSPEL-CENTERED CONTENT
This means that everything we do (worship, mission, community, etc.) is centered on the person and work of Jesus Christ. We do this because the gospel is not only the power that saves us but also the power that sanctifies us! Thus, the gospel is not the first step in a stairway of truths; rather it is more like the hub in a wheel of truth around which all ministry finds its rightful place.
Furthermore, the heart of the Gospel is the ‘good news of salvation’, not by works or our own efforts or righteousness, but by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, as revealed in Scripture alone, to the glory of God alone (historically, this understanding of the Gospel has been referred to as ‘reformed’ theology or the ‘5 Solas’ of the reformation).
So to put it simply, a Gospel-centered view of salvation teaches what the Bible states so clearly in Psalm 3:8, “salvation belongs to the Lord!” and in Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace you have been saved through faith.” In other words, God is the sovereign author, sustainer and finisher of salvation.

GOSPEL-CENTERED COMMUNITY
Community happens when we intentionally share our lives with others. This would usually happen on Sundays as we would worship together but even more so when we would fellowship mid-week in community groups. Our community groups are still connecting with calls, messages and video calls during this time, and have proven to be one of the best ways to feel connected, cared for, and to contribute with your spiritual gifts (1 Cor 12).
CG Kids is a vital and growing ministry within our community. All our children go through the same excellent teaching material, called the Gospel Project. Our youngest (GLO bugs) and older group (GIG) are taught at an age appropriate level each week with a Bible story, songs, memory verse, activities and family discussion questions. On a Friday, VOX (teen ministry) receive Bible teaching and fellowship on a safe online platform.

GOSPEL-CENTERED CAUSE
The Father sent the Son, the Son sends the Spirit and the Spirit sends the church – therefore by its very nature, the church is called as the chosen instrument of God’s mission in the world. The mission of the church is to be a continuation of all that Jesus began to do and teach. Jesus was an incredible missionary. He was faithful to the content of Scripture and he was relevant to the context of his culture. It is our mission to do the same – we don’t want to retreat from our city nor be above or against it. Rather, we want to engage our city with the Gospel of Christ (1 Cor 9:19-23). This ‘Gospel engagement’ in the city is often counter-cultural in its appearance and yet redemptive in its purpose.
ADVANCE
We believe in having meaningful friendships with like-minded churches and networks outside of our local church. Officially, we are in partnership with a movement of churches called ‘ADVANCE’,
and it is through this partnership that we receive wisdom, accountability and enjoy shared mission.
Advance is a movement of churches partnering together to advance the gospel through planting and strengthening churches.
